The Ecological Refuge Vale dos Veados is located in the heart of the National Park of the Bocaina Mountain Range, surrounded by the "Atlantica" rainforest.
To get to the refuge, it is necessary to stop off at the "Hotel Porto da Bocaina" and, from there on, take a ground road for 42 km. crossing two rivers and beautiful scenery.
It is necessary to have a vehicle with a four-wheel drive to overcome the obstacles along the road. The Ecological Refuge Vale dos Veados has two Land Rovers available for rent if the case need be.

The Ecological Refuge Vale dos Veados has four rooms, four suites, and a hut, besides a living room with a table for games, two environments with fireplace, and a large verandah with a firewood heated sauna. The bedrooms are inside the main house and there is a bathroom for every 2 rooms.
The suites are in another construction next to the main house, with private bathrooms and fireplaces.
The hut is about 300 meters away from the main house. It also provides a private bathroom and fireplace, besides the floor all in wood.
Since the Inn is located inside of an ecological reserve, they have no electric energy or telephone.

The Vale dos Veados Ecological Refuge is the ideal place for contact with nature and the practice of ecotourism.
Beautiful guided hikes can be undertaken (under request), or horses rented. In either case, you can take advantage of the various waterfalls with natural swimming pools ideal for bathing.
Off-road, motocross, mountain bike, hang gliders,
bird watchers, trackers, besides lovers of nature are all attracted to this place.
