Brazil is a federative republic composed of 26 States and one Federal District where Brasília, the capital of the country, is situated. Voting is compulsory. |

Recent years have brought a significant increase in exports with major successes in beef and chicken, soya beans and even aircraft (not to mention soccer players!).
